THE KEY TO POST-PANDEMIC WORK?
” Existing (or not) the soft skills in organizations dictated the way their people faced the pandemic and particularly the confinement that, in the case of Portugal, had a considerable duration. Skills such as resilience, ability to adapt to change, stress management, empathetic communication, curiosity, leadership, and agility became critical to surviving a new world for many, closed within four walls. There is nothing soft about these and many other behavioral skills, and what has changed is precisely the notion of their strategic importance to organizations. The distinction between soft and hard skills no longer makes sense and many organizations have come to understand the importance of investing equally in these two dimensions.”
